FAQS

Q: How do I know if this optic will actually fit my firearm?

A: We get it—compatibility is everything. We design our optics around the industry's most common "footprints" to make it easy.

Our RMU1, for example, uses the industry-standard RMSc footprint. This means it's a direct, drop-in fit for a huge range of popular carry pistols like the Sig Sauer P365 OR, Springfield Armory Hellcat OSP, Glock 43X MOS, and Smith & Wesson M&P SHIELD PLUS OR.

To ensure you're covered right out of the box, we also include a full accessory kit:
  • An adapter plate for all other Glock MOS models.
  • A low-profile Picatinny mount for your rifle, PCC, or shotgun.
  • Multiple screw sets to ensure you have the right length for your specific slide.

FAQS

Q: My dot looks blurry, like a "starburst," or has a tail. Is my optic defective?

A: Seeing a "starburst" instead of a crisp dot? You're not alone. For many shooters, this is simply how the human eye perceives a reflected LED, often due to a common condition called astigmatism.

Here’s a quick diagnostic trick used throughout the community: view the dot through your phone's camera.
  • If the dot looks sharp and perfectly round on your screen, the issue is eye-related. This is normal and very common.
  • If the dot still looks flawed on camera, then the unit itself may have an issue. Don't worry—this is exactly what our Ironclad Lifetime Warranty is for. Contact us, and we will make it right, fast.
FAQS

Q: My red dot comes loose or loses zero after just a few magazines. What's going on?

A: This is the #1 most common installation issue, and thankfully, it's an easy fix. Metal-on-metal parts under violent recoil will work themselves loose without a bonding agent.

Pro-Tip for a rock-solid mount that never moves:

  1. Degrease: Remove the optic and thoroughly clean the screws and screw holes on your slide.
  2. Apply Threadlocker: Apply a small drop of non-permanent (blue) threadlocker to the screw threads.
  3. Torque Correctly: Re-mount the sight and tighten the screws to the recommended spec of 10‒12 in-lbs using a quality torque driver.

This ensures it won’t budge, no matter the recoil.

FAQS

Q: I've mounted the optic, but my shots are way off target. Is it broken?

A: Nope, this is a completely normal and essential part of the process. Your optic isn't "married" to your firearm yet—you need to zero them together.

"Zeroing" is the process of aligning the red dot (your point of aim) with the bullet's actual point of impact. Every firearm, ammo, and shooter combination is different. Please follow the step-by-step guide in your user manual to get dialed in.

FAQS

Q: My red dot never seems to go to sleep. Is it constantly draining the battery?

A: That’s actually by design—a feature, not a bug. We tuned the motion sensor to be hyper-responsive for one critical reason: in a defensive situation, there is no time for a "wake-up delay."

The optic stays ready with even the slightest movement, ensuring it's instantly on when you need it most. For long-term storage, you can manually power the unit off by pressing and holding the [‒] button for 3 seconds.

FAQS

Q: My dot is dead or flickering right after I changed the battery. What should I do?

A: Let's run through a quick checklist. This is almost always a simple contact issue.
  1. Check the Battery: Is it a fresh, high-quality CR1632? Low-quality batteries can have inconsistent voltage.
  2. Check the Seating: Ensure the battery is seated correctly, with the [+] side facing up.
  3. Check the Contacts: Look inside the battery tray for any dirt, factory grease, or moisture. Gently clean the metal contacts with a cotton swab and a bit of rubbing alcohol to ensure a perfect connection.

If you've done all of the above and it's still not working, see the next question.

FAQS

Q: What happens if my optic just... fails?

A: Simple: We replace it. Period.

Every ARORY optic is backed by our Ironclad Lifetime Warranty. It doesn't matter if it's an issue on day one or year five. If it fails for any reason related to its performance, we will send you a new one. No hassle, no runaround. That's our promise.
FAQS

Q: I notice the dot moves slightly when I move my head, even when the gun is still. Is this parallax a defect?

A: What you're observing is indeed parallax, and it's a normal characteristic of optical physics in most reflex sights, not a defect.

Our RMU1 is engineered to be parallax-free at 25 yards. At very close distances (under 10 yards), you may notice a minor shift. The key to consistent accuracy is a consistent cheek weld and centering your eye in the lens. This is not a product flaw, but rather a fundamental of marksmanship with a red dot.
